Along the route you will come across countless reminders of the Valley's past. Starting from Bellinzona, head north along the cycle path to Biasca. Continuing along the old Satro road, you arrive at the hamlet of Dongio, passing the grotto area through the vineyards.
The routre then continues towards Acquarossa, where you find a path that also takes you to the Acquarossa Thermal Baths, a health resorts renowed throughout Switzerland. The current building, now closed since 1971, was inaugurated in 1886.
From here you continue up towards Dangio, passing by the Cima Norma, an old chocolate factory which in the last century made a decisive contribution to the valley's economy, producing up to 15000 tonnes of chocolate in the 1940s and 1950s and employing over 300 workers.
The last stop on the tour is Olivone, which can be reached along mule tracks and paths.
